Chromatographs in the tobacco industry
Gas chromatography helps tobacco industry companies to determine the content of water, nicotine in smoke condensate (cigarette smoking process can be carried out by both standard and non-standard methods). Gas chromatography methods also help to find out the quality of tobacco products in accordance to national standards. Analysis of residual amounts of organochlorine pesticides in tobacco products (including leaf tobacco) is also carried out using chromatographs.
