New method for determining of total sulful in oil products
A method for determining the total sulfur content in oil products by gas chromatography using a flame photometric detector (FPD) in accordance with GOST 33253-2015 has been introduced.
The method is based on the oxidation of petroleum products to CO2, and sulfur-containing compounds to SO2, followed by their separation on a chromatographic column. The method is similar to ASTM D7041-04 (2010). Evaporation of the sample is carried out in a standard evaporator, and oxidation in a special pyrolyzer S-1000.
Chromatogram analysis of MTBE containing sulfur compounds (25mg / kg).
